ROSA AD - Popovo is a joint stock company for purchasing and processing of sunflower. We produce vegetable oils, sunflower expeller (expeller), filter sediment (sunflower meal), hydrated sludge, fatty acids, sunflower husk briquettes and others.

The enterprise has a long tradition in the production of sunflower oil, dating back to the distant 1918. The factory was founded under the name "Donevi's Vegetable Oil“. At the beginning the  production process was primitive - sheet tray for baking the seeds and hand-operated wooden press to squeeze the oil. In the course of time the technology has been gradually improved and modernized and the production has been increased.
Actually, the maximum annual processing capacity of the plant is 30 000 tons of black oleaginous sunflower. The obtained refined vegetable oils are within the framework of  10 000 tons.

The company operates on two sites:

- Production site on an area    of 13 666 square metres
- Warehousing site on an area of 29 820 square metres

The sales are conducted through distribution in the region of Popovo and our warehouses in Sofia, Plovdiv, Targovishte, Gabrovo, Pazardjik.


The plant has its own railway track.
